Pregnancy Survival Guide

Here’s a list of things I did during pregnancy that made the experience a whole lot more enjoyable. Each one has its place. Trust me.

  1. Used a body pillow while sleeping to ease pressure on lower back.
  2. Kept plenty of snacks in the car.
  3. Indulged. For me that was coffee and a chocolate chip cookie. Often!
  4. Walked everyday. I recommend hills.
  5. Stretched regularly. Kept the yoga mat laid out on the kitchen floor to remind myself (you do what you have to do!).
  6. Opted for many a pedicure. In sexy colors. Bright red. Deep purple.
  7. Bought pregnancy clothes I liked that made me look and feel good. And yes, fabric does make a difference. Polyester does not feel good on a pregnant body.
  8. Juiced a lot of carrots. Great for pregnant mom and growing baby!
  9. Used a midwife.
  10. Prepared my mind early on for the intensity of labor through HypnoBirthing/meditational technique.
